Sliding scale $10-50
Part of growing your herbalism practice is developing a relationship with your local
ecosystem and the medicine that grows there. This includes learning about plant identification,
where herbs grow in our ecosystem, and safe foraging practices. But it also involves learning
about reciprocation practices: how to be a good steward of the land where you live, how to
monitor plant and mushroom populations and increase medicinal plants, and how to give back
more than you take. In this three hour class, we will be meeting at Blue Spruce Park in Indiana,
PA at Pavilion #4. We will explore Blue Spruce and explore multiple different diverse biomes
(edge spaces, lawn, wetland, woodland wetland, and forest) and learn about plant identification,
mushroom identification, foraging, reciprocal herbalism practices. We will cover identification
of plants, trees, and fungi, focusing on identification, reciprocation, and wild harvesting
practices.
